2009 gift guide 2009 Holiday Gift Giving Guide Intro

It’s getting close to that time of year again, so I am gearing up to hunt down the best deals, ideas and tips to make this a thrifty but awesome holiday season! For a quick look at all the recent deals and tips I have for this season, all you need to do is click on the image above which will now be available on the right side of my site. And if you would like to share the button on your blog or website, you are welcome to copy the code and paste it! It’s that simple!

As I start out this deal hunting for you all, I always like to give a word of caution. I believe that everything should be done in moderation and with a caring heart. Please do not get carried away with the deals that I post, or the thrifty advice that I give. Even doing too many thrifty deals can cause you to go broke. I hope you all will always remember the true reason for the season, and that no deal is worth going broke over. Christmas should never be all about giving and getting.  Give from your heart, for these make the best gifts!

So here is my first set of Thrifty Holiday Season tips for you:

1. Set up a Holiday Budget. If you don’t do this, you will most likely overspend.

2. Make a List. Decide who you would like to give gifts to this year, and write down their names.

3. Wait for the deal! Don’t get impatient. This season will abound with incredible deals as usual, so be patient and wait for them.

4. Consider doing home-made gifts. These are always more precious than any other gifts, as they usually are given with lots of heart and love. I’ll be sure to post plenty of ideas and tips for making your own gifts this year.

I look forward to sharing this season with you all! Last year was so enjoyable and it was really fun sharing tips for home-made gifting! And of course, all the online deals rocked! Let the fun commence…
