Freebies for Cosmetic Settlement 1/20

by Crystal on January 19, 2009

in Freebies

If you bought certain cosmetics during the dates of May 29,1994 and July 16,2003, then you qualify for some freebies tomorrow.

Go HERE to see the products in question, and the details on the freebies you can get. This is part of a class action lawsuit, so please do not get any freebies unless you know you acquired some of those products during the time in question.

I know, right? I guess you just have to make your best guess and go with it. :)

Well, if they are not asking for you to physically prove it, like a receipt from that time… I’m wondering how they will determine?!?!

I’m really disappointed with the Free Cosmetics settlement deal. This afternoon I was disappointed to read on several blogs that I follow that people were trying to scam this deal. Blogs are encouraging readers to bring their male spouses, male friends, etc with them so that they could score 2 free cosmetic items since each person in line got a freebie. BR/BR/Also, since it was a “no questions asked” kind of deal, readers should all try to score extra free items at every store near their house. Having to only sign your name with no proof that you were a customer or had already received your freebie really made it easy for the freebie deal to be taken advantage of by dishonest people.BR/BR/I honestly purchase makeup from those stores so I went to pickup a free item only to find out that the stores around here were already “sold-out”. Very disappointing!

Anonymous – I am so sorry to hear that. I am very saddened when people are dishonest and they ruin deals for everyone else. A very disappointing situation indeed.

Hi CrystalBR/BR/I’m just coming to your site to vent about this as well. BR/BR/I’m seeing blog after blog post this deal and comment after comment about how people have scored 5 or more items by traveling to different malls to cash in. Its just not right. If you weren’t affected by this law suit, you’re not owed anything. And like Anon 7:05 said, people that were affected aren’t able to get anything b/c they’ve “sold-out”. BR/BR/Just venting…
