Thanks for putting the link for the coloring book! I never know what I am looking for and now I have a visual ;)

This week when I print the Huggies coupons they BOTH say off “diapers product”; whereas, last week they didn’t.

I can’t print the sambucol $4 coupon- when I print from the file linked here it prints part of the barcode and a purple line. When I copy and paste into a new document and print, the barcode is all blurry- is that how it looks when you print it? Will Wags accept it that way?

FYI, you can print a $ 1 coupon on the smart balance site also :)

Any good uses for free or nearly free huggies products using the $3 coupons? I have several of these. Thanks

I found the coupon for the Glade Sense and Spray in the All You, but not for the Lasting Impressions. I wonder if some magazines are different?

I was able to use the $3 coupon at babies r us on natural care shampoo. The clerk didn’t blink an eye and the register took it. I also used it at target on a small tub of wipes. If you by a small tup and the big bag use $3 Q and $5 Q, you don’t end up owing as much.

I got a great deal this morning at Walgreens. Saved over $90 and spent $0 out of pocket (used a gift card), but still the total AFTER TAX was $8.27.

I was not able to get the overage on the glade sense and sprays but they were still free. Since I only used one BOGO, now I can go back and get 4 more for free!!!

The Butterball Chicken Broth is only 79 cents at my store. Otherwise an awesome trip this morning – with a nice cashier, nice manager, and I spent 21.xx, saved 37.xx, and got 10 RR back! Everything was stocked well too – 3 packages of diapers, 1 Garnier shampoo, 1 sense and spray, 3 cans broth (still good fillers at 69 cents), and 1 colgate toothpaste.

Let me know how you get going!

Did you check out Jennifer’s link to the newspaper seedling cups? She left a comment right under yours…sound interesting and definitely something I am going to try since we have an abundance of newspaper lying around!

I did well this morning at Walgreens. I got the 3 packs of Huggies. I was concerned b/c the only gentle care items were on the newborn and size 1. I attempted to use the coupons on size 4 (natual fit) and they worked!!

I am extremely new at this – are we able to “roll” the register rewards, say if I wanted to do the transaction where I buy 5 packs of wipes, using the $5 coupon, and I get the $10RR back, could I then use that to get 3 packs of diapers using the $3 coupon and then get another $10 RR in return? Or is this one of those types of catalinas I’ve read about that can’t be rolled?

Does anyone know the policy on rainchecks for RR items at Walgreens?

I went and got the Huggies today. It was a great deal, The only thing Im curious about: When I rang in my first scenario (3 packages of Huggies Gentle Care Packs) my total came to $30 and then I used 3/ $5 off coupons.. taking my total to $15 dollars. The cashier made me take the total up to $25 on the register before I could get my RR. Which confused me because she said I could grab any thing off the shelves to make my grand total after coupons $25.
Is that right???? I ended up spending more than I planned.. Because of the additional products she told me to purchase.

________________________________

The Thrifty Mama here: No, that is not right. That cashier was very wrong. I would call and report this to the store manager, and take all those extra items back to get your money back. They cannot make you buy more products in order for them to hand you your register rewards. You completed the requirement for the register rewards buy getting the Huggies Items. They are reimbursed for those coupons, so they are not out any extra money. They cashier was clearly in the wrong.

I’m a little confused. Are people using the “gentle care” $5 coupon on “natural fit” diapers? Isn’t that wrong???

Or are they using the “natural fit” coupon $3?

Since I need size 4/5 diapers now I was going to use the $3 natural fit coupons. I was also thinking of doing the other suggestion and buy the “gentle care” wipes and use the $5 coupons. Is that working for anyone?

I’m not sure about the policy on the Huggies diaper raincheck but my manager did say to get one if I needed (which I didn’t get right now cuz they are restocking them wed or thurs) But I would ask yours. Also the $5 coupon is working on either kind of diapers

Holly March 8, 2009 at 9:43 pm

On HotCouponWorld they mention that there are 2 versions of the coupons. I didn’t realize this.

I have the ones that say “diapers”.

The second version of the coupons read:
Save $3.00 on (1) Huggies Natural Fits Diapers Product
Save $5 on (1) Huggies Gentle Care Diapers Product.

Because they have specified the word “diapers” HotCouponWorld will not allow the disscussion of these paticular coupons to be used on any other product other than actual packages of diapers.

Thought I would pass that along.

The Smart Balance at our store had Peelies for $1 off :D I tried using both and it worked eventhough it is a BOGO deal, making it $0.99 for both.
Thanks for posting these, always a great help!

I didn’t get the overage on the Glade deal. They just gave me $4 off for the BOGO coupon since that was the Walgreens sale price after their coupon. Oh well. Still free!

Elizabeth March 9, 2009 at 11:59 am

Sadly, Walgreens in Citrus County, Fl has the check-out register set not to accept any mfg.coupons if coupon makes the balance due a credit…even if it is one penny.

Reply

Karen March 9, 2009 at 12:28 pm

The Glade scenario won’t work. They won’t accept both the BOGO and the WG coupon plus store coupons making overage. You can still get it free though.

Charlene March 10, 2009 at 8:56 pm

One thing I’ve found at Walgreens is that you must use the manufacturer’s coupons first, then the Walgreens Qs, whether in-ad or ESR, in order to get overage. It helps to have fillers, too. Sometimes it still doesn’t work, but most of the time if you do it that way it’ll work.

Two things:

1. I was wondering the same thing as “Anonymous” – if I get the 3 packs of diapers and use the 3 coupons, thus only spending $15, how am I eligible for the RR, since I’m not spending the $25?

2. I am going tomorrow to get my diapers at WG, and just wondered what to say to the cashier if this comes up. Can you help me know how to clear it up?

Thanks!
Erika :)

I received my rr for the diapers buying 3 packs and spenging 15 after Qs. My question is I went to another Wags to buy 2 packs, use the rr I earned and use 2 $5 Q’s and they would notlet me use both $5Q, said I could only use 1? I tookmy Q’s back and left. Why can’t I do that? It would make my total $0, no overage, just nothing OOP.

Reply

Sarah March 12, 2009 at 9:56 am

Probably because you can’t have more coupons than items and they count the RR as a manufacturer coupon so you would need to add in a “filler” item to use it. Hope this helps.

I used a $10 coupon from the Huggies RR and 2 $5 Huggies coupons. So I bought 3 pkg of diapers for “$30″ The new $10 RR did not print! The manager said because it was technically a Huggies deal it would not print me out another RR? Is this right?

Reply

2vics March 12, 2009 at 4:50 pm

Lannea, The manager is correct. You can’t “roll” RR’s on the same deal. But, you still got a great deal! If you want more, just start over again and only buy two packages the second time with your RR and coupons. I did it that way and ended up with 5 packages total for $15!

Thanks! I know it is still a great deal…but I am new to the Walgreens couponing:) just wanted to now if I was understanding correctly!
