My sale runs from Wednesday to Tuesday, so just double check your ad to make sure it does the same. New to shopping at Whole Foods? Check out my Whole Foods Shopping 101 post HERE.
Be sure to pick up the Whole Deal Newsletter while you are in the store, as it is packed with coupons.
Key Things to Remember:
-You CAN combine manufacturer coupons with Whole Foods coupons.
-You CAN use more than one Whole Foods coupon in a transaction.
-Most stores give a 10% discount if you get a case.
-Most stores give you .05-.10 cents off your order per reusable bag that you bring in.
**No word from corporate about an official coupon policy. The only word I have been given so far is that each individual store decides what exactly the coupon policy is. The coupon policy I have listed here is what most of the stores go by. So check with the customer service desk before checking out.

I had my first bad experience at Whole Foods last week. I used 2 of the coupons for the Back to Nature crackers. One coupon was from the whole foods coupon booklet and the other was a manufacturer coupon. She said you could only use one coupon and proceeded to say that it says it right on the coupon from the Whole Foods book. I said that you can use one coupon from the book and a manufacturer coupon. She then proceeded to tell me that I am being very “shady”. And of course a customer was right behind me. I was so embarassed! I called the store manager a few days ago and told him what happened and wanted to know what the coupon policy was. He said that it depends on the coupon and said that some of the coupons in the Whole Foods booklet were indeed manufacturer coupons, so you couldn’t use 2, but it depends on the coupon from the book. After the call, I looked at the booklet and the coupons ALL say Mambo sprouts. They also say one coupon per purchase of specified product. So now I am just confused and not really feeling like going back to Whole Foods in Omaha. Any advice out there? anyone else experience this at the store in Omaha?
Beth – Manufacturer coupons barcodes either start with a 5 or a 9. If it starts with another number then it is a store coupon. All of the Whole Deal newsletter coupons start with a 0 and are NOT manufacturer coupons. This means that they can be combined with manufacturer coupons. I believe the people at your store don’t understand how coupons work.
But the real issue I see with what happened was that you were falsely accused and embarrassed by a cashier in front of other customers, which in my book is the worse they could do. Even if a customer is making a mistake, which you were not, a cashier never has a right to speak that way to a customer.
Whole Foods has a great deal on Organic Valley Stringles right now. At $3.99 a pack and I had a bunch of $1 off OV cheese coupons. So, I ordered two cases, got the 10% off the case discount, plus used 24 coupons for $1.
I got 24 packs of stingles for $62. They’re in my freezer waiting to make it into a school lunch.
Couponing at WF is a crap shoot. It’s really varied by what cashier you get. I shop all my local WF stores (4 of them) semi regular as a mystery shopper.
The cashier I had yesterday let me use two coupons from the store ($5 off $25 and $10 off $75 purchase) and I’ve had other cashiers who won’t let me do that.
I simply asked her if I could use both or just one as some places let me and others don’t. She said she didn’t care and let me do it.
When in doubt about coupons I always look for a cashier who doesn’t look all that intense or intersted. (You know the one who looks like they’d rather be somewhere else).
went to krogers, didnt see the seventh generation diapers. but they had a ton of 1.99 packs of swimmers. stocked up for next summer, yay! there quite possibly could be a coupon out for them, not sure. i used to have 1.50 coupons, might be expired by now…
checked hot coupon world…there are bricks 1.50 coupons available…ill have to go back!
Umm, at the top of this page it says “Check out my Whole Foods Shopping 101 post HERE.” But when I click on “HERE”, it brings me to a page about free Arby’s. Where is the 101 article?
Thanks!
Sorry Sam. The link works for me, so I don’t know what is wrong.
