flow worker Make Money and Amazon Gift Cards Online With Amazon Mechanical Turk

Looking for another way to earn some money from home?  I was so excited to learn about Amazon Mechanical Turk last night from Jenn in the Chat Room.

Here’s a little info about it:

Workers make money by performing Human Intelligence Tasks (HITs).  The amount of time you will spend, and the amount you will earn all vary by task.  From your dashboard you can pick and choose which tasks you would like to do. An example of a task I saw was “Read this article and provide feedback.”

How well you do at this will depend on how much time you are willing to put into it, and how well you choose the tasks.  It’s definitely something that takes work, like all legitimate work from home opportunities, but this could be a way to earn a little extra cash.  Jenn does a few HITs here and there, and is slowly saving up her Amazon gift cards for Christmas shopping. See more details on Amazon Mechanical Turk and sign up HERE.

And if you like saving up Amazon gift cards, be sure to try Swagbucks too.  It’s only 45 Swagbucks to earn a $5 Amazon Gift Card.

Have you tried Amazon Mechanical Turk?  We would all love to hear your feedback on it!

I love working on Turk. I spend a little time when I have a few minutes. I’ve made over $33 in just one week.

Wow. My hubby did this for a while and we both found it took way too much work! Together I think we made a little over $2 for a LOT of work. But, that was three years ago, so maybe it’s different now?

I have done it and it took forever to get to $9 and I finally gave up. I recommend sticking with get paid to search sites or survey sites – you get more money in a quicker amount of time on those.

I’m a big fan of Mturk. You certainly can’t get rich off of it, but you can easily make some extra money.

It depends on what HITS are available though. There’s some days I go and there’s just nothing good to work on.

I actually did a post about Mturk a few months ago, which you can read here.

I used MTurk religiously a few years ago. I never made enough to have to pay taxes ($400, I think), but I always cashed out to Amazon GCs and definitely was able to do most of my Christmas shopping on Amazon those years. Lately, I have not enjoyed it as much. I think if you find the HITs enjoyable and have a little time to kill anyway, it can be a fun way to make some spending money.

Some of the HITS are a bit iffy, though. There are some legitimately good ones, though.
