Humidifiers are an absolute MUST, in my opinion. And it is important to get a good quality one.

A little information about the Vicks Humidifier:

Parents can now breathe easier when little ones are sick, because Vicks warm mist humidifiers and vaporizers offer all-natural relief of cold and flu symptoms this winter (particularly useful for parents concerned about giving kids over-the-counter medications). Warm mist humidifiers create a warm, comforting environment and the high water temperature helps to reduce bacteria. Children come down with an average of 7-10 colds each year, most during the cold and dry winter months, and when indoor air gets too dry, stuffy noses and scratchy throats are even more uncomfortable. Running a humidifier can help loosen congestion and soothe a sore throat, and it’s especially important for children with their smaller nostrils that get stuffed up more easily. Humidifiers are perfect solution to help relieve flu and sinusitis symptoms by keeping mucus membranes in the throat and nasal passages hydrated and allowing the tiny hairs (cilia) in the airways to work at expelling germs.

You guys can see more information about this awesome product HERE. For those of you wondering about the noise level, I can’t hear a single thing when it is on. I actually questioned whether or not it was actually working because I couldn’t hear anything. But I could feel the steam coming out! It’s amazingly quiet.

This morning we visited the thrift store, and there was a really nice looking humidifier; it looked unused and it had it’s instruction book and it was well within my price range at $20. Only thing missing was the “It Works!” sticker that this thrift store places on every product. I took it to the desk, and they tried it out for me and – sure enough – it did NOT work. Such a bummer.
