british airways 300x200 British Airways Sale for November

If you plan on doing some traveling for the holidays, then you should definitely check out these deals. British Airways is offering some incredible deals to places like London, Milan, Paris and more. The dates you can choose are pretty flexible, but the offer on this ends November 19th!

New York to London $229 each way or $458 round trip!

New York to Madrid $205 each way or $410 round trip!

New York to Milan $239 each way or $478 round trip!

New York to Rome $239 each way or $478 round trip!

New York to Paris $250 each way or $500 round trip!

Travel period: November 17, 2009 – March 28, 2010 (excluding December 21-23 2009) and March 29 – May 23, 2010, except for travel to India where the travel periods are November 17 – December 10, 2009 and December 25, 2009 – May 23, 2010

British Airways is also offering an upgraded experience with:

  • 200+ On-Demand Entertainment Options
  • Complimentary food and cocktails on all flights
  • World Class service
  • Comfortable in-flight experience: Ergonomically designed seat, complete with lumbar support, adjustable headrest and recline. We also provide you with blankets, cushions, eyeshades and flight socks to make your journey a more comfortable one.
  • Convenient and relaxing lounges at Terminal 5
  • And more!

And as if these deals weren’t good enough, British Airways is also offering 2,000 bonus miles when you book.  Talk about a great deal.  This little Thrifty Mama has never even been out of the United States before, but with these bargains, I’m really tempted.  If I could go anywhere on their deal list, I would probably choose Rome.  Next to the Holy Land, it’s probably the only other place I would really want to see. I can’t imagine what it must be like to see the Vatican or the ancient Colosseum.

Are you planning a trip outside of the country this holiday season?  I’d love to hear where you’re planning to go!

The rates do not include taxes and fees which will add apx. another $150 or so.

There’s another deal going on where you can sign up for a British Airways credit card ($75/year) and get two roundtrip tickets to Europe out of the deal. I sent details to Crystal.

Katie was having trouble posting her message on here and emailed me, so I thought I’d share it on here. This is a pretty sweet deal guys:
“I tried to post this on the comments section, but was denied and told it was “spammy.”

British Airways has another deal going that’s pretty amazing. See below:

This is a monster promotion from British Airways and Chase bank. [1]Go to the link below to apply for their Visa card. It’s a $75 fee per year.

After you’re approved and you make your first purchase, you get 50,000 [2]British Air miles. That’s enough for a free ticket to “Zone 1″ in Europe. That includes London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and a couple of other cities.

After you spend at least $2,000 in three months on the charge card, you receive an additional 50,000 bonus miles.

Folks, that’s two tickets to Europe for $75.

Spend at least $30,000 in a year and you’ll get a companion ticket on British. The companion ticket is ONLY good on British Airways iron, STILL–it’s a great deal.

I recommend using caution with credit cards, but if you can do it right (and not go in debt in the process), then this is an incredible deal. Just make sure you pay off your card EVERY MONTH!! Thanks Katie!

This credit card deal could be really great, though I wanted to point out that taxes and fees apply as well. So, for example, even if you use your 50,000 miles to buy a roundtrip flight to London from middle America you will pay approx $370 in additional taxes. $370 is a great deal for a flight to London, but it’s not quite free, so just keep that in mind. If you’re planning a trip this would be a great option – we’re considering it for a big East Europe trip next summer. If anyone has tried this I’d love to hear their experience!

I didn’t realize you’d pay that much in taxes and fees. We usually cash in miles with our Alaska Airlines card and only pay $10 for a free ticket. I’m new to British Airways. It’s still a good deal though!
