I understand that this story is about parents who have lost a child. Is it a depressing story for Christmas?

Several years ago I made each of my adult children a Christmas keepsake box. That year I put in a “pickle” you hang it on the tree and the 1st one to spot it wins a special gift, next year – my recipe for cheese balls and a cute snowman cheese ball holder, next – my recipe for gingerbread man cookies with a gingerbread man cookie cutter, next – the game “spoons” that we love to play together and this year will be the book The Christmas Box. Thanks
