up monsters blu ray Both Monsters Inc. and UP on Blu Ray & DVD for $13.28 Total at Target!

Update:  Deal is even better if you price-match Monster’s Inc. to the Best Buy ad.  It is $18.99 at Best Buy.  So after coupons it would be $11.67 for both, including tax! Thanks MMcKenna!

WOW, this is an even better deal than the one I posted earlier.  You need to have your Walmart ad to price-match at Target for this deal to work.

Here’s the scenario:

Monsters Inc. Blu-Ray and DVD set $21.32 (price-matched to WM)
Up on Blu-Ray and DVD set $19.96 (price-matched to WM)

Use $10/2 Target printable HERE
Use $10 UP coupon HERE
Use $8 Monsters Inc. coupon HERE (Log in and enter code 786936164886 - Thanks More Than Cents!)

Final Price for Both: $13.28!

Do any number of the rebates HERE to possibly make these both free or even cheaper!

Note: These are the Blu-Ray and DVD combo packs.  So you do not have to have a Blu-Ray player to do this deal.

Thanks Amber for totally rockin’ out this deal for us!

The BluRay UP is $19.99 at Target right now! And I had them price match with Best Buy for Monsters for $18.99. Paid $11.67 including tax for both! :)

I’m confused. I can only find the deal on UP on Wal-Mart’s website, and I can’t find the deal on Monster’s Inc. at all in the Target ad or on the Target website. Is it possible this is only a regional deal?

KCol November 10, 2009 at 8:56 pm

Oops. Scratch the Target part…duh…it’s a price match from Best Buy. But I still can’t find the Wal-Mart deal for $19.96 (other than through the website.)

I think this is going to be crazy this Christmas! Stores are really trying to get our business and are just lowering prices and matching and taking crazy coupons. It’s going to be stressful and fun to find the best deals!

I got these today! Got the last Monster’s Inc on the shelf after going to 2 Targets!

Im not seeing Monsters inc in the Best buy ad. What page is it on?

Been to three Target stores.. cannot find Monsters Inc! :0( So, Walmart doesn’t have regular store ad, just toy guide. So, I think Best Buy ad is much cheaper for $23.99 for Monsters Inc and UP at $18.99 to purchase together. That’s what Target will honor the price.

I also can’t find the UP dvd in the Walmart ad for this week. Our ad is titled “Christmas Toy Guide.” Is that the same ad ya’ll have? If not, what zipcode do you live in, and do you know if Target will accept ads printed off the computer?

There’s a coupon inside the DVD for a mail in for a free baby Kevin plush if you buy either of these on Blu-Ray.

I was going to have them price match UP (at Target) but it was only $19.99, so no need! I was getting frustrated too because it wasn’t in the Walmart ad. LOL! All you need is the best buy ad for Monsters Inc. Definitely call ahead because Monsters Inc seems to be low stock everywhere. I assume they didn’t expect this high of demand, but they told me yesterday at my Target they will probably get shipments daily since it’s the “holiday season” (yikes) and it’s a sale item.

I found an even better deal!!!!!!!! But with your guidance of course :)
Hastings has the Up combo for $15.99. I could get BOTH for $6.98!! YAY! Their is no purchase requirement for the special price. My Kroger ad says I have to spend $35 to get Up at $16.99, but with the Hastings ad, I won’t need it!

YAY!

Up combo $15.99 price match
Monsters combo $18.99 price match
less $10 Up printable
less $8 Monsters, Inc printable
less $10/2 Target printable
$6.98 WOWEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

I have to wait for my target to get Monsters inc in.. he thought this afternoon… they said I could call and see if they have it and if they do they will hold it for me until the end of the day. I plan to buy both, use the target coupon, the up coupon, the monsters inc coupon and mail in the kernals rebate (by the way, our target has the kernals seasonings for $1.99 a piece, if you use the second coupon link you can get two one dollar off coupons…) Total cost when I am done just around $8 for the two movies.
Thanks for all the work on the deals girls!!

Ok, I just got back from Target and they wouldn’t take the $8 Monster Inc coupon! It took forever for them to figure everything out, but in the end they showed me an e-mail they had received this morning that said they could price match with Best buy but they would not be able to take all 3 coupons. Maybe it’s just my Target in Texas. Has anyone else had this problem today?

Went to my Target here in Virginia with my Best Buy ad and showed them the UP Blue Ray price of 23.99 , plus purchase along with this the Monsters, Inc. Blue Ray for 18.99. I had both Blue Ray’s in my hand. The manager said that Target would only honor the Up Blue Ray for $23.99 and not the Monsters Blue Ray for 18.99. (He said they don’t honor special deals from other stores where if you buy one DVD then a second one would be at a lower cost). I told him that other Target stores were honoring this ad but he wouldn’t budge. Any suggestions?

Tobi, UP is $15.99 for the DVD set at Best Buy, but the BluRay set ends up being a better deal and the $10 coupon for UP is for the BluRay set. I honestly don’t know why they are giving some people a hassle over the coupons, but sometimes that’s Target. :( I would ask them to call corp as you are standing there because they may be confused over that $10 peelie ($10 off when you buy the 2 movies, manufacture) found on the Monsters Inc. BluRay. Which you cannot use with the other coupons because it’s too many manufacture coupons. Anyway sorry if anyone is having a hard time, but I would ask for an explanation from corp.

Just called the corporate office of Target. Target does not honor special ads like the one for Best Buy where if you buy the Ups Blue Ray, you can get Monsters, Inc. Blue Ray for $18.99. She said my manager here in Richmond, Va. was right. She has been swamped with phone calls. She is aware that other Targets in other states have been doing this but it shouldn’t have been allowed. I really thought my phone call would have a different outcome. I’ve never called corporate before.

So it seems all of Phoenix is out of Monsters INC. Is there a website where I can check it to see if they get any more without having to call the stores everyday?

deanna November 11, 2009 at 5:51 pm

I don’t know where you guys are getting 19.98- that is the price for the regular dvd here. In order to use the coupon, you have to buy the 4 disc combo pack, which is 29.98 at my walmart. In my experience, they will not honor the coupon on the 19.98 disc; it is coupon fraud (as I was told). I was informed that in order to use the coupon I had to purchase the 29.98 4 pack.

Reply

Crystal Collins November 11, 2009 at 6:00 pm

The combo pack is priced lower at Best Buy, Target, ect… and is actually $19.97 at WM this week (i’ve already been in the store and checked). So it’s not coupon fraud because we are using it on the BluRay combo 4 pack.

deanna November 11, 2009 at 6:43 pm

I guess my walmart is not with the program then, unfortunately :( I tried to get them about 4 hrs ago and the combo 4 pack was 29.98 still. Also, they don’t price match with those other stores because they aren’t competitors since the nearest Target is 1 hr away and idk where a best buy is. Our area sucks, lol!

I live in Chicago and I had no problem with this deal. I called Target to make sure they had both Blu/dvd’s 4 disk combo and they had it ready for me when I went to guest services. UP was on sale at target for $19.99, Monsters was $26.99 (they price matched the Best Buy price of $18.99). Total for both was $39.98. I then used the Target cpn $10 + Up cpn $10.00 + Monster’s cpn $10 Subtotal was $10.98 plus 10.25% sales tax = Final Total was $13.95!! Yayyyy! I printed a copy of the price match policy and their coupon policy and took them both with me, just in case they gave me a hassle, but I had no problem. According to there policy they should honor this deal! First I had them price match, and then I took out my coupons. Thanks Thriftymama:)

Last time I asked at my target, they told me they don’t do price-match. Where can I find their policy in this matter?

My Walmart had the 4 disk Blu Ray combo priced on the counter as 29.99 but when I scanned it – it was 19.99. Love the in-store scanners!

I looked at the local Walmart add for the DFW metroplex but didn’t show anything about blue ray for Monster’s Inc. I checked the Walmart website and found something there. The ad I found has two kids on the cover with presents, a boy and girl, which, according to the website, it the current ad. The only DVDs mentioned are the Madagascar DVDs. So, am I looking at it wrong?

It is so frustrating how the Target stores aren’t consistent. At my Target they tried to tell me that Best Buy had a different 4 Disc pack of Monsters Inc. than the 4 Disc they carried. What?! I just looked on the Disney DVD site and there is only one 4 disc. It is just so interesting that all the different Targets have different hang ups. Some won’t match, some won’t take coupons. You never know what reaction you’ll get when you go in.
