It has been one amazing month of working out. Today is day 27 for me, and I am feeling so good about myself for sticking with this. I’ve noticed that quite a few of you have dropped out of the challenge for various reasons, and I just want to encourage you to pick it back up. This is about being healthier and fit.
My pant size has dropped, my abs are tight, I have muscles in my legs (that I never had before!), and I have so much more energy. My endurance is something that amazes me as well. When I started I could barely make it through the workout, and now I can breeze through the 30 Day Shred.
A final update with my weight-loss (hopefully I have lost something), and my final pictures will come on day 30, which comes next week so stay tuned! And remember that you can keep up with all the daily photos on my Flickr page.
How have you been doing? Share your progress here in the comment section or with the linky. It is my hope that we can be an encouragement to one another, and help to motivate each other to get healthier!

I just started this workout, I am on day 5. I already feel more energy and am building my endurance. I have much more weight to lose than you did but I am looking forward to the challenge. Do you know what to do once you finish the 30 days to maintain or even continue to increase strength and endurance? I have about 65 lbs to lose total and need a much longer workout than 30 days. Thanks for all your updates, it really did encourage me to take it up!
Good for you Sabrina! I know a lot of people recommend the P90X workout system. It’s available on Amazon. Zumba is also a recommended one. I personally will be continuing with my yoga and taking a kick boxing class.
I am late on this topic…fill me in. I will be starting Zumba this Monday so what else are you doing?
I get frustrated because I can never make it through the first couple days so I never feel like I am making any progress. What I mean is I am so out of shape, plus I have a bad knee and a bad foot, it is very difficult for me to do all the moves on 30-day shred. I switched to 30-day Jumpstart (Biggest Loser) and it’s a little easier but it’s so short I’m not getting a lot out of it.
I made it only to day 4. Then I was tired and slept in and fell off of the program
I spent the following two days doing various workouts – Yoga, Pilates. I need to get back on the shred again. You have certainly been an inspiration and I can’t wait to see the final pictures!
That’s awesome that you’ve dropped a pants size! I have so much more energy too and I want to workout now. I finished on Tuesday, took a day off and I’ve been working out again the last two days with longer workouts.
Thanks for the encouragement along the way!
I have one more day of level 2, then on to level 3. I am a little worried because the difference between levels 1 and 2 seemed like a lot. I still sweat and am breathing heavy at the end of level 2, but at least I can do all the un-modified moves now. Definitely have more endurance. I had been running a few times a week before I started the challenge, and now when I mix in a run for a little change, I can go longer, faster. Thanks again for the motivation. Don’t think I have quite the results you have, but maybe that will change when I am closer to the end as well!
Day 3 tonight. I can’t believe I actually made it through day 2. I could barely even walk that day! Not as sore today but still look like I just got off a horse. Trouble breathing today but still going to workout. Thank you for all of your encouragement!! You are doing GREAT!
You have done well and have been a great motivation to me and alot of others I am sure. I need to lost alot of weight but dont have the means to get the shred or anything like that but I do walk everyday or every other day now so thanks for getting me started. YOu have to start somewhere.
Stick with it, everyone! I was about to skip my workout today but after reading all of the comments and seeing Crystal’s photo, I am ready for Level 3. Even if you have a hard time doing some of the moves (Jan) just remember to stay moving! If you have a bad knee, try doing punches instead of jumping jacks. Just keep your body moving! You can do it!
Looking good, girl! It’s super hard for me to find time to work out. I want to do it for energy mostly. Just gotta get on top of it!
Way to go you!! I splitting it up to 5 days a week and 2 weeks on each level, I just completed week 4 level 2, so Monday I start up level 3! Way to go us for sticking with it.
30 Day shred awesome…I have been working out for years, and consider myself in good shape. I do the 30 day shred in the winter when it’s really cold and hard to get to the gym. If you can do it, you are in great shape! Once you master level 3, try doing level 2 and level 3 back to back…you will be spent, and it’s only about 45-50 min! Keep up the good work! I am 43 with 3 kiddos age 18-2. If I can do it, so can you!!!
You are looking fabulous! I just found your blog tonight after a friend, who handed me a great printable kraft coupon in the store, referred me to your site.
Crystal, so proud of you! I started along with you and Jen, but had to stop after 11 days because I got sick. I’ve restarted now (I went back to day 1!) and now I’ve just finished day 13. Hooray!!!
