Amazon Prime Movie Deal Amazon Video on Demand: Unlimited Movies and Shows with Paid Prime Membership

If you’re like me and don’t pay for cable, then you will probably be interested in this deal.  If you become a paid Amazon Prime member, not only do you receive free 2-day shipping on all of your orders on Amazon, but you will also get unlimited, commercial-free, instant streaming of over 5,000 movies and shows.

I already use Amazon Video in Demand to stream .99 movie rentals to my TV, but I am VERY excited about this new opportunity.  The cost of Prime is $79 for the year, which makes it just $6.58 per month for unlimited streaming to your TV!  That’s cheaper than the cost of Netflix!

Have you or will you be signing up for this?  I’d love to hear feedback from those of you that have this, so we can see what types of shows and movies are available.

I already pay for Amazon Prime because I shop a LOT at amazon. I also stream movies and TV shows from Amazon. I didn’t know about this so I need to know how to find out how to activate it.

Does this work if you are getting a free year of Amazon Prime by being a student, or through Amazon Prime Mom?

You should be able to follow the link in my post to activate it. Let me know if you have trouble and I’ll try to help you figure it out.

It does not work for Amazon Student or Amazon Mom memberships…which I’m bummed about that because I use Amazon Mom…

@Terie – I think if you just go ahead and set up streaming to your TV you will see the free movies. I just went into my TV and there was a section for free streaming stuff….not free for me yet though because I just have Amazon Mom.

Actually Sami it’s only for paid Prime members. So if you have free Amazon Mom or Amazon Student, you can’t get this :(

Just looked over the offerings and I’m not too impressed. We have Netflix and use a Roku. Most of what they offer in the Kids and Family section is repeated in Netflix streaming content (besides several seasons of Mr. Rodger’s Neighborhood). Boo, I was so psyched too. :0(
