Car care is one of those areas we usually leave to professionals.  But there are a few maintenance projects that we can complete to save money and help our cars perform their best.

Get out your trusty baking soda and old toothbrush.  Now you have the best tools to clean corroded battery posts and terminals.  Actually, many of the products you could purchase in the car care section for this task are little more than baking soda and water.  Get detailed instructions for this project here.

My husband said that he learned this in shop class in High School (in the 80′s when they used to offer cool classes).
