Start small, pick a one week menu that is simple and healthy. Make those meals for one month and then expand. Not everyone loves a 7 day meal plan that repeats but it sure makes your life predictable which helps prevent impulse buying for ingredients you didn’t know you’d need, etc. Stick to your plan!
Plan the weeknight meals, and make Creative veggies the center of each meal instead of the usual American idea of meat and 3.
We saved about 30% a month doing 7 day meal plans and sticking to that in the store. No more wasted food
Stop using ANY processed food, like: Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, premaid pancakes, etc… I can’t believe how many ppl at my work use this crap and then complain about the cost of their groceries. A LITTLE planning goes a long way. You have to treat ur food bill like a biz.
Buttermilk, you can make anything and everything with it. Your own dressings, pancake batter, biscuits, muffins and more. I stopped buying all the prepackaged stuff when I realized, hey making it from scratch tastes so much better, is cheaper and really does not take that much time.
They have a ton of great success stories. I have a friend with Fibromyalgia, after she started the shakes, she no longer has pains and her energy has been incredible. I heard another story where a woman with diabetes was able to stop taking medication. So, just trying to weigh the pros and cons I guess!
Grow a veggie GARDEN, even if it’s little pots on your porch or balcony!! Either freeze, can, or dehydrate your own produce!! You might be surprised at how easy it is! A little searching goes a long way when it comes to finding u-pick produce, and buying in boxes/bulk can save a lot of money. I also agree with the weeknight meals centered around veggies, baking from scratch (way cheaper!) and getting rid of processed foods (you’d be shocked to find out what you’re really eating!)

For exercise, skip the gym membership. Lots of good places to walk/hike/bike ride abound. Free exercise DVDs at library.
