Save with this $1 Crystal Natural Deodorant Printable Coupon. This is the only deodorant I use. It is free of chemicals, but most importantly free of aluminum which is in all antiperspirants and can be linked with breast cancer.
Thanks Debba!

I love this stuff too! Thanks for the coupon!
I got my coupon…now you need to get yours!!
Does it still contain alum which is a derivative of aluminum and still not safe in large quantities. I think it was ammonia alum which it used to contain. It would be worth checking into before you continue use of it. I remember about 12 years ago or so when I first began using natural deodorants, that I researched the alum in the library. it’s kind of like those words on food which still have High Fructose Corn Syrup. They just use other words to try to make you think it does not have it in there. While it is still free of some aluminum, it is not 100 % free of aluminum products. You can read Dr. Mercola’s article for more info. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/02/16/aluminum-lurks-in-crystal-deodorants.aspx Definitely worth researching!
You can make your own deodorant very easily with baking soda and a little water and some essential oils (I prefer lavender). It works well, but you may have to re-apply once or twice throughout the day. I also like Burt’s Bees and will make my own body spray with water and essential oils. Hopefully, the Crystal deodorants do not still contain the alum products.
I got a recipe from Crunchy Betty blog (I think) and it was coconut oil mixed with equal of amount of combo of cornstarch and baking soda, few drops of vitamin e, few drops of tea tree oil, and whatever essential oils you wanted for the scent. I mixed sweet orange with lavender and it’s a really interesting scent! Some people are sensitive to the baking soda so use more cornstarch (or even arrowroot powder) than baking soda in the mixture. The bonus is that my pits are soft and smooth even after shaving. Gotta be from the coconut oil! Sometimes I do need to reapply later in the day, but I have whacked hormones and pretty sure that’s what makes me so stinky — as a comparison my sister uses same, she doesn’t have to reapply, and her hormones are fine.
Thanks! I love this, it’s what I use!
Sadly, it does still contain alum and it is NOT safe. I used this for years thinking it was safe and when I found out it was not, I was furious! I make my own deodorant now. It’s pretty frugal as well.
There’s some very good, albeit scientific, information regarding this deodorant on the chemical of the day blog:

Not sure if this is stated in the Mercola article or the Chemical of the Day blog posts, but I recall reading that this actually works as an antiperspirant rather than a deodorant. Makes total sense as to why it worked so well on me!
