I’m really excited about the U by Kotex deal, because if you have the Reinventing Beauty magazine from CVS ($.99), it has a CVS coupon for $1.50 off a Kotex or U by Kotex product! Combined with the $1 manufacturer’s coupon, is only $2.50, with $5 ECB back!

I was really happy to see these deals! I did 2 transactions: Transaction 1 – Pampers $21.99-1.50 mfg from ss = 20.49 + U by Kotex 4.99 – 1.00 printable = 3.99 + travel size deodorant .99 = 25.47 – $5/$25 CVS coupon = 20.47 + tax = 22.08 OOP and 14.99 in ECBs. Transaction 2 – 6 Speed Stick deodorants at $2.50 a piece = $15 – $14.99 in ECBs from Transaction 1 = 0.01 + 1.05 in tax = 1.06 OOP + $5 in ECBs. So I ended up spending 23.14 out of pocket and went home with $5 ECBs and $53 worth of stuff, making my savings 66%, which is not bad considering I bought a big ticket item (the box of diapers, for a friend’s baby shower).

Make sure you scan your CVS card at the coupon printer BEFORE you buy the Kotex U products. I got a “$1 off U” CVS coupon (but unfortunately I didn’t scan my card until after I had already bought it). But not everyone has this. My mom’s CVS card didn’t print out this coupon.
