Wait…. isn’t the shopping the fun part? Of course! But we mostly had a blast today hanging out with Jenny from Southern Savers at the Georgia Aquarium.
Jenny’s family is on the left, and that’s me and my two kiddos with hubby on the right. Jenny and I got to discuss a little bit about some things we would like to do together in the future, including some videos that would help with CVS shopping. So stay tuned, because we may be working on these in the next month or so.
And after our fun-filled trip to the aquarium I stopped off at Whole Foods and got this:
Total Spent: $21.07 Total Saved: $67.50
By my calculations the cashier messed up my order by $1.70. But that’s not worth the cost in gas going back to get a refund on.
I spoke with a manager while I was there regarding the policy and why the registers beep when more than one coupon is used. He said it’s not a problem for cashiers to push the coupons through, the registers beep just to make sure the cashier isn’t accepting fake coupons. I know some of you are hearing that it is because you are only allowed one coupon per transaction, but that is incorrect and your stores are misinformed.
If a coupon says “one per transaction,” then yes there would only be one allowed per transaction. But the Whole Foods coupons do NOT state this. And again, this is straight from the mouth of the employees at my local Whole Foods. I’m still trying to get Whole Foods to hand me an official policy, but no luck yet. I’ll keep trying for you all!

You know I’m addicted to the website when I worry from no posts!!! lol I’m glad you had a great time. Love ya!!!
Hey! I’m in GA also, and just wanted to make sure you knew about halfoffdepot.com, you can get GA aquarium behind the scenes tickets, for half off. I love taking my fam to the aquarium there!
hmmm…I sense another Wednesday’s Website coming. Thanks so much Sarah! That site looks awesome.
So they don’t give you hassles about taking a big fat stack of the newsletters and using all the coupons at once? Did you just use the coupons from the newsletter or did you use others as well?
No hassle. The only thing they didn’t want to do was give me the case discount along with using the coupons. But they did give it to me anyway. So I am definitely looking forward to hearing from corporate soon.
BTW, I used 16 coupons from the Whole Foods booklet in this transaction (Back To Nature and EnviroKids coupons), and they did not have an issue with it. I also combined manufacturer coupons with these, and there was not an issue.
At my store the cashiers can not override the Whole Deals coupons. A manager always has to anytime I use more than one. I have no problems stacking, just using more than one of the same Whole Deal coupons. I have no problem waiting while they do it either. And I love shopping there. I am just hoping to get some clarification from their corporate office soon so I do not have to have the same discussion with them each time I go in.
Crystal, I verified at my Whole Foods today the same thing. He said it was fine to stack them and they could always override them.
I’m so bummed that others are having a hard time. I hate that feeling when they say you can’t, when you know you can. And knowing you have to pick a little fight is never fun.
what a great picture! southernsavers and thethriftymama are my two FAVORITE sites. you guys rock!
Crystal, this was such a fun post.
