The past several years have been life-changing for me: I went through two heart surgeries with my son, I created an online business, and I became more and more comfortable with who I am and embraced my ” health-nut, crunchy ways” despite what the world thought of me.
I’ve learned so much about health, our food system, the pharmaceutical industry, and with knowledge came a lot of concern and trepidation for our world. I became increasingly concerned not only for my own family and friends but also for all of you that read this website. At times I also felt discouraged, because I wondered if I was really even making a difference in people’s lives.
As silly as it may sound, my main passion is helping to change people’s lives for the better: show them that they can live healthy AND save money at the same time.
So this leads me to my point: I want to say thank you to those of you that have encouraged me all along the way. From your helpful comments to your friendship, I am truly thankful for all of you. I’m thankful to have you as a part of my life, even if it’s in a small way. But mostly, I am thankful that you have allowed me to embrace my health-nut ways, and taken the journey right along with me.
You have no idea how much joy I feel when I read comments, emails or private messages that tell me how you used a tip of mine to change your life! It humbles me, and sometimes brings me to tears. With all the fast food, junk food and unhealthy lifestyles that are so prevalent in our society, sometimes it feels like I’m fighting a lost cause in trying to help people get healthier. Discouragement could easily set in.
But then I read an amazing comment from one of you, and it makes everything that I’m trying to do to help worth it! I’m so thankful for you all, and I’m so thankful that I’ve been given a platform where I can make a difference – even if those differences are small changes. I hope to be worthy of this and help you all live healthier lifestyles on a budget!
Happy Thanksgiving! Live well, eat well, and make those small changes towards living healthy! They really do add up!Print This Post
