This Friday, April 29, 2011, Whole Foods will have Organic Strawberries on sale for $1.99/lb, which is an unheard of price for organic. Strawberries make the top 12 in the dirty dozen list, so this is one fruit you should definitely be eating organic. Time to stock up and freeze for summer smoothies and pies!

what! I wish there was one close by
Seriously? Is that all the Whole Foods locations? Because I have to drive an hour to the closest Whole Foods but for that price I would definitely do it! And then freeze the 50 lbs or so that we buy as my family loves strawberries (fresh or frozen!!!) And there is absolutely no place locally to pick organic strawberries.
According to the Whole Foods blog it is a national sale available everywhere. Call ahead though if it will make you feel better about the hour drive.
