csc0007b 300x225 Free Chocolate Bars at Target (Using Insert Coupons)

We all know about the free chocolate Friday coupons we can get (by the way these are up now).  But right now you can get some free chocolate bars at Target with just using insert coupons.

There is a buy one get one free manufacturer Mars chocolate coupon in the 7/26 RP insert, and a Buy One Get One Free Target Mars chocolate coupon in the 8/2 RP insert.

Buy two candy bars and use both coupons to get both for FREE!  I know it’s not a very healthy or organic deal, but I don’t mind getting a little indulgence now and then.  Especially when that indulgence is FREE!

Does anybody ever have any problems trying to use two BOGO coupons for 2 free items? I know one is manufacters and one is target, but do they actually let you use both with the same 2 candy bars? I’m just curious, I’ve heard of ppl doing it all the time, but somehow it doesnt make sense in my head that they will take them. So, has anybody tried using a BOGO coupon when it’s already BOGO?

I have done this Teresa. Think of it this way: The store is paying for one of the bars, and the manufacturer is paying for the other.
Hope that helps! It can be a difficult concept to grasp.

RP = Red Plum, as in the coupon inserts that come in the Sunday papers.

Last time I tried to use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO promotion in Rite Aid,(Strayfree pads) the cashier told me she cannot give me the products for free, even tough I explained her the concept she didn’t want to take my coupons, then I talked with the manager and she repeat what the cashier told me….

Yes, I’ve had the same thing happen to me too Martha. The funny thing is if the cashier doesn’t notice the item is BOGO then they’ll take the BOGO coupon just fine. So it’s best to hide it with other items. For example in the same transaction at Rite Aid I tried to do the BOGO Mars bars w/the Free coupon, they knew about it & wouldn’t let me. But since the cashier didn’t notice about the Stayfree she put it right through. This same cashier wouldn’t do the BOGO w/the ziplock bags deal about 2 months back either. At first she put the coupons through but when she hit the total button she noticed that the ziplock was BOGO and then decided that maybe she shouldn’t take my coupons and went to talk to the manager who would not take them. So it’s a YMMV thing.

Are you referring to the Unilever RP? Not finding that coupon anywhere …what was on the page with it?

I just see the coupon in the databases online, I haven’t looked for it yet in my inserts.

I can’t believe my local paper has been without a ton of the coupons listed in the deals recently. I feel like I am missing out!
