This is one of my “go-to” green juices. It’s a great detox juice, and perfect to have on a daily basis during a juicing cleanse. If you’re a juicing fan, and want a good juice to fall back on when you’re not sure what to make but need a good healthy pick-me-up, then this is a good one to go with.
The first time you try a green juice, you might be completely grossed out at the thought. They really are quite wonderful and not as bad as they look. Even if you don’t juice on a regular basis, this is a great way to get a lot of nutrients from greens into your diet. Kale is packed with protein and iron!
- 2 apples
- 5 kale leaves
- 4 carrots
- 4 stalks of celery
- 1/2 lemon
- Run all items through the juicer.
- Serve and enjoy.
- Refrigerate leftover juice
If you are using a centrifugal juicer, run the lemon through last as it helps with the clean up a little bit. I’ve been juicing for a while and love this juice, but people new to juicing may not like it….I don’t know. Give it a try and if you can’t handle it, add more apple and use slightly less kale.
