Each week on Wednesday, I spotlight a website that I think is worthy, and give you a little review of it.
In the spotlight for August 26, 2009 is Groupon!
Groupon.com is a site that offers great coupons for places in your area. They offer daily deals for incredible prices. One such deal going on today was a $61 Manicure and Pedicure deal at a local salon for only $30! A few days ago there was a $20 gift card for a local restaurant that was only $10!
Here’s how it works: Groupon uses the power of the group in order to get incredible discounts. The deals can only be gotten when a certain number of people order. We get the discount, and retailer gets bulk orders. It’s a win-win! The deals change daily, so be sure to sign up for the daily alert emails. Let us know what kind of deals you are able to get!
And be sure to share the deal with your friends, so you can earn free Groupon credit!

YAY! I’m so glad you featured Halfoffdepot.com! It’s such a great site! My hubby and I just got a Melting Pot $50 GC for $20! YUM!!!!!
I’m thinking we need to move south – where Halfoffdepot would work and I could shop at Publix!
Not too bummed, though. We have a few radio stations here in Missouri that offer lots of half-off deals. For those who will miss out on these two sites I would suggest looking at local resources.
I check them both daily. I love half off depot because they also give away free stuff too if you can catch it. And groupon is great too. I haven’t bought anything yet but I am waiting for the right deal.
