Many of you know the devastation that is going on right now in Haiti. Lives have been lost, and people are still hurting, without food, shelter and water. Now is the time for those of us that are sitting comfortably in our homes to stand up and make a difference. That is why I am joining together with a group of bloggers to hopefully make a big impact.
I want to encourage all of my fellow bloggers and my readers to give in whatever way that is possible for you.
Bloggers: For every blogger that links up to their Help For Haiti blog post here, my family will personally give a $1 donation to the Help For Haiti cause.
Readers: For every person that comments here telling me how they gave to the Help For Haiti fund, my family will donate .30 cents, which will provide a meal for one person.
Ways to Give:
Donate to Compassion International
Numana – .30 cents provides one meal for someone in Haiti
Donate Online to the Red Cross or text “Haiti” to 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.
I believe these are worthy places to send your money so that it sees the most impact in Haiti. To see a list of more places you can donate, go HERE.
If you can find a way to even give a small amount, I highly encourage you to do so! These people are left without mothers and fathers, children, food, clothing, shelter and water. They are completely devastated and need our help! Find a creative way to come up with some money to donate. If you are Eating From Your Pantry this month, consider donating the money you would have spent on groceries. Or when you go shopping, consider donating the amount that you saved with coupons. However you do it, give! Help save lives! By working together, each of us is making a huge impact!
I also want to encourage everyone to pray for the people in Haiti. They need miracles right now, and I believe these are possible through the power of prayer!
Be sure to also visit Money Saving Mom in order to see a huge list of other bloggers that are participating. When you give, we all give, so make an impact now!

I donated $5.00 to Dr.’s Without Borders…not much because we are on a tight budget but every penny will help. We are also gathering lots of free things that we have accumulated that we don’t really need to donate to a relief shipment being sent out of our Florida ports i.e. toothpaste, baby food, cereal, soap etc. through Harvest Time, Sanford Florida.
I donated through Samartians Purse, yesterday. I would love to donate clothing, food stuffs, etc – I live in KY, does anyone know who I can donate those things through?
A business in our area with family ties to Haiti is collecting water & nonperishables. Thanks to couponing, I am able to donate from my stockpile. May God bless the people of Haiti.
I donated through Samartians Purse yesterday as well – the news says that right now financial donations to organizations that are already on the ground is the best way to be of assistance.
I donated to humanesociety.org; they happened to have a vet team in the Dominican Republic at the time and will be sending them to Haiti to help.
Thank you for doing this. I donated through the Red Cross yesterday.

My husband & I gave to a few different charities. Thanks for doing this!
We donated to Mission Aviation Fellowship. They fly small planes that can bring supplies and people into places that are otherwise impossible to reach. Since the infrastructure is so bad out there right now, we think this is an important group to support.

We have donated through World Vision and yesterday we joined with 2600 volunteers to pack meals for Haiti. This was sponsored by Numana and the Salvation Army. It was a delightful experience for those of us there. About 40 from our church GRACE COVENANT of Clay NY participated. The ONCENTER in Syracuse NY donated the space and free parking.
