honey Homemade Sugar Scrub

One of the ways I’m able to keep my skin clear and soft, is by using my homemade Honey Citrus Scrub. But lately I’ve gotten to where I just use honey, coconut oil and raw sugar to make it and it works just as well:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil
  • 1 tsp of honey

Directions:

Mix ingredients together, and store in an air-tight container. It will stay fresh longer if you refrigerate it. Take a small amount in your palm, and lightly massage it on your body. I use this everywhere, including my face. It does a fantastic job of removing dead skin, and moisturizing as well.

do you rinse after applying or just massage in? Does the honey not leave a sticky residue?

I do rinse it off afterwards, and no it doesn’t leave any type of residue.

I just heard that you shouldn’t put a scrub on your face because it will clog your pores…maybe this isn’t true for this type of a scrub…what do you think?

Is coconut oil found in the cooking section of the store or in the healthy/beauty section?
