I wanted to order the Cook’s Crockpot that was on sale for $49.99 (reg. 79.99) but at check out they said the promotional code didn’t qualify. I wonder if it doesn’t work if it’s already on sale?

I purchased a Carter’s outfit that was on sale from $20 to $11.99, and had no problems. I know people have used it for clearance clothing items too, is it possible it is not valid on Home items? I know sometimes there are blackouts on such things.
