You’ve all seen those online offers like the one pictured above. They say things like FREE Walmart Gift Card, or Free TV. You click on the offer only to find out that you have to sign up and pay for several services in order to get the “free” offer. I myself have seen these and never done them because it just seemed like a scam to me. After some research and looking into it further, I have actually found some people that have this kind of stuff down to a science, and are actually making money online by doing these offers.
Check out Money Saving Methods’ very detailed post HERE for finding out how to get started. And if you don’t believe it’s true, check out The Blogger Bragger post HERE, where everyone shows off what they have gotten by doing these offers.
I will be experimenting with it over the next several months and keeping you all informed. Have you ever done this type of thing and have some experience? I’d love to hear what you have to say!

I have been working on my first two offers thanks to those posts. My first one ($500 gas card) is now on its way to me, and the second one ($500 visa card) has been approved and I’ve mailed my forms in. I’ve spent less than $100 on both of these so I’m looking at nearly a thousand dollars of profit in the near future. I’m super excited but haven’t been telling many people about it because I know they’re going to think it’s a scam until I can show them my cards.
I’m thinking about finding a third offer to start soon. It’s kind of addictive.
Good luck with yours!

I did this offer back in October, the night of the Alabama/Tennessee football game. My $500 gift card came TODAY!!! It really worked. If you are organized it is not that difficult.
Thanks so much for the linkback.
I am so excited when others spread the word on Online Offers, as the more people who can benefit, the better!
I am always so thrilled to get emails from everyone each month telling me how much they have received!

I hate to put out $$ to get the large dollar return. I’ve been thinking of it and thinking of it. I’m so intrigued, I may just do it. I’ll need to save up a bit though before and make sure that if I do lose out on the $$, it won’t hurt the family.

I did onw of these after reading Carrie’s moneysavingmethods blog. I started the offer on December 29, 2008 and last night received a Wii and a Wii Fit for approximately $40 out of pocket! These do work. I am going to post on my blog about these offers in the next few days!
Holy cow Nicole! That’s awesome!
Yes, it is! I trust Carrie but still had a hard time believing that the Wii and Wii Fit would come. But they did! Less than 2 months after I signed up and did the offers. I ended up having to do 2 replacement offers but didn’t have any difficulties otherwise. I am going to start my next offer this weekend!

Well, I bit the bullet and did a 50.00 gift card from Kohl’s. Probably not the best one to start with. I should have gone for the big guns LOL. I just used my half.com payments.
I’m a bit worried as one of the sites wouldn’t take my creditcard number. I tried 3 times but no luck. Now I’m afraid they’ll bill me three times.
I am so nervous for these things. I hope it works.
That wii fit is a great prize. If this works and I don’t have too much grief, I may go for that next. My kids would flip!

Keep me posted. I hope it goes well. I checked the site like twice a day until they all approved!

I started the process and went as far as reaching the next level to qualify for a FREE $500 Sam’s Gift Card. However, I needed to buy product or service from 2 silver offers. After reviewing there was only one I would consider, Netflix. The others are not known businesses and one I almost tried, but after reading the fine line, they wanted to bill me $80 after my free trial. That’s a lot to keep track of and out of pocket expenses. The advertising is deceptive as it isn’t FREE. Besides, they clearly state that they can share your information. Not keen on that either.
Still, more power to those that are doin’ it and getting the gift cards. It obviously works.
For now, I’ll just watch and wait for your outcome.

Sorry to hear that it didn’t work out. I’m going to start one of these hopefully this week and you guys can track what I do.
There are definitely out of pocket expenses. I need to add up how much I spent for the Wii and Wii Fit but I think it was less than $50 and about 2 hours total of time spent. I don’t think that’s bad at all. I’m going to post about it this week and hopefully start a new one next weekend!

I just wanted to add another vote saying that many of these are indeed legitimate. I did my first few in 2006, took 2007 off, and resumed in 2008. I’ve gotten over $2600 already and I have $1000 on the way and $750 that will come if my I-Deal timeline works out. I’m also looking for referrals for $300 from TraInn.
Based on my experience, my SIL has gotten $2300, with another $500 on the way. One of my friends got a free laptop and a $100 gift card for Chili’s. Another friend got really into the freebie scene after my post about my original $2K Visa, and has gotten a few laptops, a grill, a bedroom set, and tons of gift cards. He’s done it as a part time job ever since.
If anyone is looking for more info, I really recommend Josh Clark’s blog (http://www.joshclark.com/blog/?page_id=192) and forum. Be sure to download his blank Excel spreadsheet, which makes keeping track of offers and expenses very easy.
Thanks for the info on Josh Clark’s site – it’s very helpful!
