003 Shopping Superstars: My Mans Organic Shopping Trip

It doesn’t look like a lot, but this is a great shopping trip for Mr. TTM.  This time instead of me just laying out all the coupon deals, he actually helped me and added in his own thoughts on what to get.  He found $1.50 coupons for the chicken (hormone-free, anti-biotic-free, etc) in my coupon folder that were about to expire, so he stocked us up on fairly inexpensive chemical-free chicken.  He bought the smallest packages to make the most of those $1.50 coupons.

He also got the Cascadian Farm Vegetables for .33 cents each, Snyder’s Pretzels for .50 cents, discounted Organic Milk, and used a .50 cent coupon on the eggs that doubled at Publix.  The organic coffee was something I got with some purchases at Cost Plus World Market.  I used a total purchase coupon on that deal.

Total Spent: $30.02 (most of that being the meat)

And over on the right of the photo you can see some of my organic produce that I got from a local co-op.

Now it’s your turn to share!

Lucky lady ;) I wish we had more stores around us period. I am lucky enough to have our organic chicken get market down constantly, even though its store brand and we don’t have coupons, it ends up fairly cheap! Cheaper then the hormone chicken in fact! And it taste a lot better. I think a lot of people would be amazed by that! But the “regular” chic never gets marked down at my store because it sells, go figure.

WTG, Mr. TTM! I was super happy to find a Kroger employee marking down TONS of milk when I was in there today… he was marking down gallons that didn’t expire until May 6, 7, & 9 (on May 2)! I think he must have been misinformed because I heard him tell another customer that they mark down milk when it’s about 6-7 days away from the exp date… and I’ve never seen them mark it down prior to 1-2 days in advance of the date.

I bought 6 gallons of milk, 2 gallons of chocolate milk, 1 half-gallon of buttermilk, 1 gallon of OJ, and 6 ears of corn for $19.14!

Excellent deal on the chicken!

Looks like some confusion on this post though, many are the giveaway links and not supershopper info but it’s always fun to look!
