Instead of using items that contain toxins, or cannot be reused, try going for a more green and natural look on your table this year. Use dried and colorful beans in $1 store containers, to have a thrifty and natural look. The beans can later be cooked and eaten, so this is a VERY inexpensive table setting.

This idea can work for any season with just a variation of the contents. I’ve seen sunflower seeds done, various nuts could be cool and yummy, maybe dried fruits
