Sometimes I need a good, swift kick in the pants to get me moving.  Other times I need a gentle word of encouragement that my plans are good and the project is manageable.  That’s what this article about starting an organic garden in your backyard did for me.  It is an overview of general steps to take to begin thinking about gardening.  It’s not overwhelming and it really makes the whole idea seem attainable.

From site selection through supporting the soil and proper watering, these pointers will get you thinking about the next step to succeeding at this worthwhile venture.

I hope you enjoy these tips.  Maybe it will encourage some of you to go ahead and plan your own organic garden.  For those that have some experience in organic gardening what is the one most important tip you wish you knew before you started?

Another tip when planting. It is better to do it on an overcasted day that way the plants do not go into shock. I love gardening.
