Recycle glass bottles for colorful and inexpensive garden edging. No more worries about toxins from plastic or metal leeching into your soil from conventional edging. Here is how one gardener tackled this project.
You don’t have to drink all that wine in one night, by the way! Collect colored bottles from garage sales and thrift stores. Maybe your local Italian restaurant would be willing to contribute to your recycling project.

very cute !!
Oh wow! I like that!!
I did this!
Super cute idea but what happens when the lawn mower hits it w/ a stone or something? Can you leave it out all winter or will they break?
Mine have been out all winter for years now. They’re remarkably sturdy. I trim around them with my weed whacker and then mow. I bet I’ve even hit one, didn’t break. If I DID hit one, well then, shucks, guess I’ll have to drink a bottle of wine!
love the idea, BEER GARDEN…LOL!
What a cute idea, I’ll bet it’s really pretty when the sun hits them.
Love it! Our last vacation the rental home we stayed had glass bottles all around the edges of the garden. I was supposed to take a pic so I could remember to do this but forgot, so thanks for posting. Pinned!
