This week it was time once again for me to stock up on groceries at Costco. Actually, I haven’t been since July, now that I look back through some of my old posts. So this week I pulled out the stops and stocked up on mostly organic groceries, along with some necessities I need for doing a detox this week.

Total spent on these: $25

I’m starting a detox this week, and I needed specific produce, hence the reason I got some at Publix. Normally I like to just shop in season, but I needed particular vegetables and fruit. There will be more details to come on my detox, so look forward to that!

One of the ways I shop now is to make a big shopping trip and stock up, then all I need to do is supplement with things like produce, milk, eggs and bread. These groceries may last us up to two months, possibly more.

How did you all do this week? Go ahead, show off all those awesome deals you got! Please link directly to your posts, and I ask that you do not link to giveaways or posts mainly promoting affiliate deals. Let’s encourage one another with our thrifty ventures. No giveaways please. Thanks!

I guess I am not understanding how all that will last 2 months when I don’t see anything there like meat, fish, peanut butter. Did I miss something?

I still have things like that already in my stockpile: venison that I stocked up on last year, peanut butter I still have in stock from an Amazon deal, and canned wild-caught Alaskan Salmon. That’s only a smidgen of what is still in my stockpile.

Ok, gotcha. I knew I was missing something. I didn’t think that child was going to be too happy with cantalope for a month. :)

We have $40 a week for 5 of us plus a dog, 2 cats and a dugu. I’m so happy we are part of Gleaners! $20 a month and a few work days gets us lots of produce!

Where do you get canned wild-caught Alaskan Salmon? We get (6) 4 oz cans at Costco, but wonder if we can get them at a better price somewhere…same with organic peanut butter – I noticed that you get it at Amazon, is it a better price than Costco? Love COSTCO (actually, it’s a bit of a love/hate relationship!)
