I know what you’re thinking… that no one in their right mind should buy gifts for others from a thrift store. I respond by saying, no one should pay $80 for this toy if they could get it at a thrift store for $1:

I picked this up yesterday for, you read that right, one dollar! Everywhere I have looked for this online, it is out of stock or at a ridiculously expensive price. The prices I saw ranged from $70-$80. The awesome thing about this is that it actually works! It makes all the sounds and the propellers move, so my four-year-old is just as happy (please excuse the messy face). And I’m happy too that I only spent $1.

How did you all do this week? Go ahead, show off all those awesome deals you got! Please link directly to your posts, and I ask that you do not link to giveaways or posts mainly promoting affiliate deals. Let’s encourage one another with our thrifty ventures. No giveaways please. Thanks!

When we first started having children, it seemed like everyone was starting their families too. We had over 20 children in our immediate circle to get presents for! At the time, we had an incredible Goodwill, just 5 minutes from my house, that would often get donations from our local Target! The items were brand new, or at the most, floor models of car seats & high chairs, etc. Everyone got amazing presents and I paid pennies for it all. I was really proud of myself! :)
