Crystal, why couldn’t you have posted this LAST year?? We just got rid of our crib that was missing a piece on the side that we would’ve taken off anyway for this project!!

That is EXACTLY what I was going to say! I threw away two cribs that were missing parts, but would have been perfect for this! I will hang on to this GREAT idea!

Ditto for us. LOL. We discovered both of our cribs were recalled and needed some sort of fix it kit. We decided to just throw them out. I didn’t even think of repurposing them. I wish I was crafty minded.

This is a great idea since they have recently changed safety requirements on cribs and deemed so many older models unsafe!

wow this is super cool, we also used reused our crib. we used the bottom spring part as a shelf for our garage, we use it to store tents, blowup castle, rugs, backpacks. Also we turned the other side rail into a baby gate that swings open, it was perfect because of the long length.
