When you are updating your home decor buying new drapes can be a draining experience (for your bank account).  Sewing drapes is an option but you still have to buy the fabric and put in the labor.

Another option to spruce up your windows is to use tablecloths as drapery panels.  They come in a variety of colors and prints.  They’re already hemmed, and they are intended to be washed regularly.  Better yet, buy a tablecloth that is too long so you can hem the bottom and use the excess for some matching throw pillows.
