With fall fast approaching, it won’t be long before we start getting those random sniffles. While vapor rubs can be great to help with breathing, many of them available at the store are filled with petroleum and other chemicals. That’s why it is great to make your own at home.

Homemade Vapor Rub Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 TB of olive oil
  • 5 drops of Eucalyptus Oil
  • 5 drops of Peppermint Oil
  • 1 drop of Thyme Oil

Directions:

Awesome idea. I have been trying to make a conscience effort to use more natural items and especially to avoid using petroleum-based items when possible. I will try this recipe. Thank you for sharing!

Ohhh great idea! Thyme is one of my favorites and is antibacterial among other things. I’m thinking I will make this and use coconut oil to have more of a thicker paste like rub. Thanks!!
