There are so many possibilities… What’s a girl to do?
Spend $25 (before coupons) on ANYTHING and you get $5 in Register Rewards. Plus, these Register Rewards roll! Meaning you can spend them on your next transaction and another $5 RR will print. Woohoo! Can you tell I’m excited? You should be too.
Here are a couple of options for you:
Transaction 1
Buy 4 Wal-itins at 6.99 each
-In ad Coupon that makes them .99 cents each
=$3.96 + tax OOP Earn 5 RR.
Transaction 2 Option 1
2 Reach Products 6.00
1 Colgate Dental care 2.99
3 Excedrin Express Gels $15
2 Bic Soleil 6.99 and 6.99
Total Before: 37.97
- BOGO Reach Coupon from the 10/12 RP
-$1/1 Colgate from the 9/28 S or 11/2 S
-3 $2/1 Excedrin Blinkies or Printable HERE
-2 $3/1 Bic from the 11/2 S
-6.99 for Bic being BOGO
-5 RR from previous transaction
= $12.98 + tax OOP
Earn 5 RR for spending $25
Earn 6 RR for the Reach
Earn 8 RR for the Excedrin
Earn 2 RR for the Colgate
Total $21 in Register Rewards.
Or
Transaction 2 Option 2
2 Bic Soleil 6.99 and 6.99
2 Reach toothbrushes 6.00
1 Colgate Dental Care 2.99
1Wrigley’s Gum 1.19 and 1.19
1 cheap filler (least amount you can find – caramels at the front are .33 cents, or if you can find clearanced .09 cents pencils, even better!)
=$25.35 + filler price
-2 $3/1 Bic
-1 BOGO Reach
1 $1/1 Colgate
-BOGO Wrigley’s Gum coupon from the 10/5 S (hand this one over before the Walgreens coupon and it will take 1.19 off).
-.59 cents Wrigleys Gum in ad coupon pg. 2
-6.99 for Bic being BOGO
-$5 RR
= .97 cents + tax OOP
Earn 5 RR for reaching $25
Earn 6 RR for Reach
Earn 2 RR for Colgate
Total $13 RR!
Remember that you CANNOT roll certain RR into more RR. Like if you use your Reach RR to purchase more Reach, the new RR will NOT print. However, you can roll one product’s RR into a different product’s RR. Like Reach rolling into the Excedrin RR and vice a versa will work (someone correct me if I’m wrong please!).
This is what’s so great about this spend $25 RR. It rolls unlike the others.
Okay, I could really hurt my brain if I tried to figure out all the options you could do. Check out some threads pertaining to this topic HERE and HERE. Southern Savers also has a great post on the 4-Day Sale HERE.

I thought the Bic Soliel was BOGO? Is it not in our area?BR/BR/That will make a really great deal if it is BOGO and we use the $3 Qs!
Thank you! I thought my numbers looked off. Thanks for helping me correct it!
Hooray! I will be stocking up on the razors this week!
I am making gift baskets for several family members with my stockpile … and what woman doesn’t like expensive razors, Glade air fresheners, and facial (anti-wrinkle) cleanser? LOL
is this $5 RR regional? i don’t see it on walgreens.com for the flyer. pls reply me at mathalways@gmail.com thx
Thanks for posting the Wal-itin deal. I had no idea that stuff costs so much before coupon! I don’t use it, but for free I can find someone who does! All these $25 scenerios are fascinating – what else can I go buy??
While you are there, also check out the Phisoderm facial cleanser. It is on sale for $2.59 and there was a 2.00 off peelie. Making it 59 cents. I have the deals and more listed on my blog at http://www.michiah.com Thanks!
In regards to Mom of 3 Athletes… in my area the Bic Soliel was on sale for 3.99 each, not BOGO. Pretty much same deal though. I have read in other blogs that this was unadvertised and check with the cashier to do a price check. Good Luck.
Hey! I tried to do this deall last night, but I had to get 4 Bics. With the BOGO, the 2nd rings as $0 so it won’t count towards my $25. I fixed it quickly though and got my RRs! Another filler: the Nivea small tub (travel size) is $1.29 (white one) and .99 (blue tin). There was a coupon a while back for $1 off any Nivea. I bought bunches for gift baskets and stockings. FREE fillers!!!
Do you have a walgreens 101 like the cvs 101? I just got the hang of cvsing and would love to do walgreens as well but it seems a little trickier. Thanks for all you do!!! All of your hard work has made it possible for me to really cut down on our monthly expenses and now I am finishing up my last couple weeks of work so I can stay home with our kids. Yeah!!!!
Another item that you may want to consider is the Glade scented oil candles are on sale for $3.99; Glade has a B1G1 coupon–they will ring up $3.99 each, which will count $7.98 toward your $25, but you’ll actually only pay $3.99.BR/BR/Another good filler are the Walgreens resuable shopping bags for $.99 each–I’m planning on using these as gift bags this Christmas, that’s cheaper than a paper gift bag, and reusasble to boot.
I did two transaction today, but I didn’t get my $5 RR on my second transcation. BR/1st transaction: BR/ Formula and Reach toothbrush: Total after coupon and tax is $25.24BR/2nt transaction:BR/ Formula and Reach Floss: Total after coupon and tax is $22.91 (I used $5RR from 1st transaction)BR/I asked the cashier why I didn’t get my $5RR, she told me that my total is under $25.BR/BR/May be because my two transactions are the same product, that’s why I didn’t get my 2nd $5RR when I used the $5RR from 1st transaction. It seems like I’m rolling the same deal. Could this be the case???BR/BR/Should I call Catalina company to see if they’ll send me $5RR by mail? BR/Thanks
I tried the first scenario and none of my register rewards printed out on the second order. The manager said “you can’t use coupons and get RR’s too”. Then he said he didn’t have RR’s on the Reach products or the others in his “system”. Then he said he would refund my money but wasn’t going to give me my coupons back! After an hour of this, he finally gave some RR’s and a gift card for the remaing total of RR’s that I should have received. Has anyone else had this happen? BR/BR/P.S. This is the second Walgreen’s I’ve gone to that has not printed the Reach RR’s and told me “you can’t do coupons and get RR’s!”
My Brain started hurting this week thinking of all the ways to get items for free or practially no money. Then I went to Walgreen’s and here in Florida they have new software on the cash register. If you use a coupon any coupon Walgreen’s coupon and Easy Saver, or a Manufactuer coupon or a Register Reward or even a gift card , you do not get the Register Rewards from your purchase. Any discount equals not on register reward. This changes couponing drastically and I am told this will be on all registers in all stores by the end of 2010.
Wow! I hope for everyone’s including Walgreens’s sake that you are somehow mistaken. They will seriously loose a lot of business if they do this. CVS makes it so easy and they are profiting so much. If Walgreens really wants to continue to compete, they will not do this.
