FYI for Garnier coupons: I found coupon pads for $1 off any Garnier Frutis product at Meijer’s near a shampoo display. I am one of those unfortunate people who never get Garnier coupons in my local paper.

For the ESR Rebate #30, it states limit 4. So do I have to buy only 4 things total? Like 2 windex wipes and 2 scrubbing bubbles.

I have a question for you that I can’t seem to find out in Googleland. If I do all the Feb. ESR free after rebate deals on one reciept, but use coupons for some items, will they give me a rebate for the full price of the items or just my total after coupons since they can tell that I used those coupons on the rebate items?

Do you think I should include some other items in there so they won’t know what coupons applied to which items or should I just do it on one receipt?

This is my first time trying the ESR stuff.

Bre – you will get the full amt. back. Coupons will not affect that.

Thanks. I appreciate your quick answer! : )

I am relatively new to the coupon/thrifty process. I have started with Walgreens because I do shop there frequently. I am trying to “crack” some of these codes, however I am unsure about a few. What is RP….and S…I have tried to follow a few other sites and am unable to find some of the coupons they cite in the Sunday coupon Smart Source and Red Plum for example. Do the coupons vary be region?

S = Smart Source Coupon Insert
RP = Red Plum Coupon Insert

First off welcome to the coupon/thrifty process! Coupons do sometimes vary by region. Just be sure you are looking in the correct date that is listed. Let us know if you need any further help. :)

What I meant to ask is do the coupons in the Sunday papers vary by region….I assume that RP is Red Plum and S is Smart Source….but when I go to look for some of the coupons that these sights post they are not in my paper.

Coupons do vary slightly by region and by the paper you buy. It’s usually best to buy your major city’s paper. Like I am in Ga, so I buy the Atlanta Paper. If I bought a smaller city paper I might get the inserts, but they might not have all of the coupons in there. Best to go with the bigger city’s paper.

Thank you….I appreciate any help….I guess that I just don’t get some of these coupons is my paper ie….Garnier….have looked and looked but I can’t find it….I get frustrated because I feel like I am spinning my wheels or that I don’t understand the process.

Yes–if I get our town paper, it has very few coupons in the smart source–if I get the local city paper (which we subscribe to), it has much better coupons–BUT if I get the Kansas City Star, a rare find in my town, but available if you go early, they have even MORE coupons…..or sometimes a different amount–strange, but true!!

Kelly, the limit 4 means you can only claim 4 items. Rebate #30 is get $2 back up to 4 times for a total of $8 all together.
Crystal has deals for more than 4 items listed, so keep that in mind. =)

I’m not sure why, but the Progresso coupons aren’t printing. I’ve tried a couple of times and it’s just not working! :( I guess I’ll try again tomorrow.

Oh, I forgot to point out that you didn’t list the Hauls deal. There is a Wags coupon that makes them $.99 ea. and there is a coupon in this weeks (2/9) SS. I didn’t see the Wags coupon until I came back home after getting the Gillette deals. My husband needed some Hauls and I’m not sure how I missed the Wags coupon! D’oh! I’m so mad at myself! (I think the SS coupon was $1/2)

Have been trying out this thrifty thing since the first of the year and have found it addictive. I have also learned to carefully watch the transaction. Today I purchased the Venus Razor and should have received $6 RR but did not. I speak up and after probably 15 minutes, the best the manager could do was take my name and told me to come back later and tell someone that there should be a gillete rebate form for me in the office. He didn’t seem to know how to print one but said perhaps the next manager would. Has anyone had this type of experience? I probably would have been better off just returning the razor.

For the scrubbing bubbles deal, my ad states 2/$5 after the MIR. So it is originally 2/$7. Does anyone else have this? I didn’t catch it until I was there looking through the ad again. Bummer!

Are the Monthly Easy Saver Rebates mail in rebates or instant rebates? And how do I sign up for register rewards?

Reply

Dave February 13, 2009 at 9:26 am

The Easy Saver Rebates are mail-in rebates (or you can actually do it on-line now; see the easy saver booklet in stores) You don’t have to sign up for Register Rewards; you get them automatically when you fulfill the requirements of the deal. Hopefully that helps. :)
