My blog is officially one year old this month. I started my blog in August of last year, and it has been a huge blessing and success. What better way to celebrate my one year anniversary than to honor the blogger that got me started?
In the spotlight for August 5, 2009 is Money Saving Mom!
With over a million hits on her website a month, it’s easy to see why so many bloggers look up to this stay-at-home mom of three. She runs one of the most successful blogs, all while staying on a weekly grocery budget of $40. She posts deals every day, and also does a lot of great things like Baking Day, giveaways and posts that help you to become a better home-maker and financial steward. She is also a Christian, and does her best to always post honest and ethical deals.
Before I started my blog, I had been visiting Money Saving Mom’s site every day. This time last year she started a blog series called Blogging For Profit. I read through her posts, and decided that this was something I wanted to do. Not only did it have the potential to help my family financially, but I knew I could help others with my blog. If you have been thinking about starting a blog, or are interested in learning about a great way to bring in some extra income for your family, then you should definitely read that series.
What I especially love about Money Saving Mom, besides of course the fact that she posts so many great tips, is that she does her best to shop healthy for her family all while staying within her $40 a week budget.
If you all haven’t checked out this awesome blogger yet, then you definitely should. This is another great one that should be in your bookmarks and/or google reader.
