It is so nice today, that I think I may actually venture out for some fun!
Things I am looking for:
Lawnmower
Rolling Pin (for baking)
Vitamix (been looking for one of these for years…but let’s hope I get lucky this year!)
Clothes for myself – I’m finally at pre-baby weight, wahoo! I haven’t been at it since four years ago, when I got pregnant with my first child.
If you’re planning on having a yard sale or going to them this year, check out my Garage Sale Tips post HERE.

I am looking for unique containers for my plants! Speaking of planting I found a great freebie if you purchased the any Campbells soup recently or plan to. Go to this site and enter the codes on the bottom of the can to receive free seeds to make your own soup!

For clothes try out the Value Village on Hwy 5 Douglasville, they have lots of stuff cheap. There’s also the thrift center on hwy 120 about 1.5 miles west of the Big Chicken. If you catch the right day they do a buy one get one free and most clothes are 5$ or less.

Thanks Mike! I know both of those stores very well. I actually prefer yard sales when I can find good clothes, because most of the time I get clothes for .50-$1. And sometimes if I buy a lot the owner will cut me an even better deal. But I do love 50% off days at the thrift stores. Those rock~!
I especially use Value Village for my daughters winter clothing! I go and stock up on sweaters and jeans for around $1 each! Of course I only buy what I can’t find at yard sales throughout the summer!
I agree that yard sales can still be much cheaper if you can find your size!
I just snagged some clothes for my daughter and nephew for .25 each! You can’t beat that!
I also agree with having a list…it’s just like regular shopping! I stick to my list unless I see something unique at a great price! I go to yard sales to buy things to re-sale so I actually have to set a budget each weekend! $50 for me!
I love to see how much I can get for $50…it’s kind of like grocery shopping! I love making a game out of all of it!
Have a great weekend! Lissa
If you’re still looking for a lawnmower, we are looking to sell ours in Marietta! haha!
